Evolving a bit more here. Photoshop has been completely replaced by Manga Studio for the drawing, as I prefer the look and feel of Manga Studio's pen tools, and their dialog and panel tools are terrific. This is the start of KFP's first multi-part storyline.

Well the shading on the new one is a bit different at least.

It gets better (At least I hope so). I've still got a backlog of strips to copy over here and they improve as they go.

Wow , a Frazetta Death Dealer reference, I like it!!!

Heh, that was fun to draw! The one in the comic is the digital version, but I also did a painted ink version too, to sell or auction some distant day, maybe. I probably used these too early in the strip, though, because I hadn't yet had time to establish Twitch's Godzilla obsession - Which is why his Death Dealer has Ghidorah on his shield, a Godzilla toy for his horn etc.

Thus far, no one who has seen this has recognized the "Kaijubringer" parody of Michael Whelan's popular book cover for Elric/Stormbringer, but I remain hopeful that eventually some random person will see it and flip out completely.

yea the reference to the eternal champion is just as good, I read all of the Elric saga years ago, great stuff and I own a poster by Michael W. of Elric slaying a dragon. I did catch it...great job.

I love the variations of Twitch in this one! I used the image of Death Dealer as a point of reference for a character in the past, so seeing it here is a treat :)

Thanks! Twitch makes an exceedingly silly Death Dealer. Though I have to admit, I now wish I had a van so I could paint that on the side while cruising around listening to Uriah Heep. It's also possible that Death Dealer Twitch may be appearing again in a future comic.

Reminds me of the Calvin & Hobbes where Calvin invented the Duplicator! Great stuff here!

If I could claim to be going for a "feel", it would be a mixture of Calvin & Hobbes meets Three Investigators in a more science fictioney-horror environment. Thanks for the kind words!
