Yes, that WAS the fastest hiatus ever. I had really planned to kill the strip, but thought afterwards that if I was going to cancel it anyway, I'd just do one more that was made up of only the stuff that's fun for me - Hand drawing, hand inking, even my very first hand lettering...and avoiding the computer as much as possible (The only bits done on the Mac were the stretchy, repositionable dialog balloons). Instead of taking six weeks, I did this in one afternoon and it was fun all the way through. And even though my first attempt at hand written dialog looks horrible, I still like it better than the unnaturally clean font. If KFP continues, it's probably going to look like this - Very, very analog.

It only occurred to me afterward that only a select group of people would even get this joke, but then they're the exact group that should be reading KFP anyway, so I guess it works. :D And for anyone who's wondering what the heck this strip is about, here you go...

Some of your readers did grow up watching Ultraman and all of the other crazy tv shows that the Japanese sent over!!!

Ain't analog fun?

This strip was a great ride. I'm the last one to say whether to continue or not, but wish you the best.

Thanks! Well, as I've nearly finished another one, I guess it's going to continue for the time being. It's bizarre - Everyone says everything must be digital now to be faster, but I am SO much quicker doing it by hand. In future, if I add any colors back in, I'll probably do them with markers too. After all the strips I've done so far, this is the first one that's really *clicked* for me, in terms of look and feel. Ironic that it's the crudest looking.

I grew up watching Ultra Man, and before that I remember johnny sokko and his flying robot.

Hard to watch now, but when I was young, I was a complete spaz waiting for those show to come on!

Also - Space Giants and Specterman. However, the one that I was really hyped over was Starblazers. That's still my favorite anime of all time.
